About

An editorial eye.
An operations perspective.

I’m Sare LaChance. I care about how a business presents itself—and how it feels to be the person trying to understand it.

Different settings.
A consistent thread.

My work has taken me through publishing, hospitality, social media, and employee support. The settings change, but the connection is clear: useful information, thoughtful communication, and processes that people can follow.

Editing calls for attention to meaning and voice. Management brings the practical questions into view. Support work makes it clear how much a person’s experience depends on finding an understandable answer and knowing what to do next.

I bring those perspectives together in business communication and operations improvement. I understand both the person who needs a clear answer and the team that needs organized information, practical instructions, and consistent processes to provide it.

Relevant experience

The work behind my approach.

Editorial direction & book editing

Kyanite · Editorial Director

At Kyanite, I was responsible for the publishing schedule and editing our quarterly Kyanite Press. My book-editing work includes copyediting, line editing, and substantive editing: attention to the details of a sentence as well as the shape of the larger piece.

Restaurant general management

Hospitality & operations

My background in restaurant general management informs the way I think about business communication: the explanation on a page needs to make sense alongside the practical work of serving people and running the business.

Social media communication

Bella Pizza & personal creative projects

I’ve worked on social media for Bella Pizza and several of my own creative projects. That experience connects audience, voice, and presentation—how to explain something in a way that feels appropriate to the business and useful to the reader.

Employee support & service operations

Vail Resorts · Senior Wellness Coordinator

I handled ServiceNow case management and email support, created reusable communication templates, supported seasonal teams, and led remote support meetings. That work connected administrative coordination, customer and employee support, documentation, and operational problem-solving.

People & technology

Clarity is part
of the experience.

I care about the questions behind a useful customer experience: Can someone find what they need? Does the language help them understand their options? Is the next step clear? Can interacting with a business or a tool feel easier and more enjoyable?

I bring that perspective to the language, labels, and organization that help people find information and take the next step.

I use AI to support research, drafting, comparison, organization, and problem-solving where it helps. I personally direct the work, verify information against the available sources, refine the output, and make the final editorial decisions. You remain responsible for confirming your business facts, policies, and commitments before using the work.

I also explore AI-assisted software development through personal projects. That hands-on learning informs how I think about making technology clearer and easier to use.
